Layla G. Taylor

Partner

Layla G. Taylor, a partner of Sullivan, Hayes & Quinn, LLC, joined the Firm in 2004 and obtained her B.A, cum laude, from Syracuse University and her J.D., cum laude, from Western New England College School of Law. She practices labor and employment, workplace immigration and school law.  

An advisor to both private and public sector employers, Layla is a strong proponent of proactive human resources management. She regularly advises clients on legal compliance in the workplace, conducts legal audits and internal investigations, assists in workplace immigration matters and in negotiating employment contracts, separation agreements and labor contracts. She is also an experienced litigator, defending management before Federal and State courts and administrative agencies in complex matters such as wage and hour collective and class actions, unlawful employment discrimination and other disputed involving labor unions and employees. 

Ms. Taylor has written and lectured on legal topics relating to her areas of practice. She has been called upon by legal publications for comments on unique questions of employment law and has been selected five times for inclusion to the New England Super Lawyers Rising Star List.

Layla is also very active leader in her community. She has served as the President of the Board for the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts and Chair of the Board for the Greater Chicopee Chamber of Commerce. She is currently active with the Board of the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce and volunteers for local art and women’s leadership organizations. 

She is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts, New York, Vermont and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts.
